Giants add Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller
Waller signs three-year deal with Giants
The New York Giants have signed Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller to a three-year contract, the team announced Monday.
Waller, 29, was released by the Las Vegas Raiders on March 8 after four seasons with the team. He caught 55 passes for 665 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games last season.
Waller was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2020 and has been named to the Pro Bowl twice. He is one of the most productive tight ends in the NFL, and his addition gives the Giants a much-needed playmaker at the position.
The Giants were in need of a tight end after Evan Engram left in free agency. Waller is a significant upgrade over Engram, and he should be a key part of the Giants' offense in 2023.
